Debbie's Bio

Debbie is a global digital and business change leader with 30 years experience working in the area of information technology and business transformation. Her specific area of focus is working with global organizations to help them develop digital strategies and programs leveraging emerging technologies that bring business value and transform how people work. 

Most recently, Debbie was Global CIO for Survitec Group where she developed the companies first digital strategy and 5-year roadmap aimed at digitizing the end-to-end customer journey and laying the foundation for digital service offerings in the maritime industry.  

Previous to that, Debbie was VP End User Experience for Rio Tinto where she was responsible for digital strategy, digital workplace services, and end user adoption and performance. She led a team of approximately 120 people located across Rio Tinto regional office hubs in five continents. 

Prior to joining Rio Tinto, Debbie was the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Tyco Security Solutions (ADT) with 5 years of service in this role, and a total of 15 years in several key IT management roles for various Tyco entities.

Debbie is passionate about inclusion and diversity in the workplace and is active with organizations that help to raise the statistics of women in Information technology.

Debbie received her business technology degree from the University College of Cape Breton in Nova Scotia, Canada.
